Day 15 (January 15, 2012): After doing my errands and settled down a bit, I shot pics of this recent addition to my growing collection of goodies. That’s right, folks. The El Mikey bought ABSINTHE.  Honestly, I’ve never tried absinthe.  I’m thinking when the timing’s right, I’d give it a try.  So if anyone had ever seen “Eurotrip”, you’ll know where I got the idea from.  If not, watch it. It’s really funny.

Curious on where I bought this little thing?  Well, I bought it at an ABC store while I was on my way home.  Having no idea just how strong is this stuff is, I bought a “sampler” bottle of Absente for $10 (FYI: a normal-sized bottle with the absinthe spoon included is anywhere from $40 to $60 depending on the brand) and I had to run back to Giant to get some sugar cubes and a small strainer! If and when I get the chance to try it, I’ll let give y’all the lowdown on this thing.  Promise.

(note to self: I need to buy a special slotted spoon for the absinthe).
